Yahoo! The little guy got his first in the park homerun last night at his game. It was not an error but a clean hit ball and just some real leggin' it out to get to home! As he rounded third, the shortstop took the relay throw from the field and threw it home. The catcher caught the ball but kind of fell backward and Hayden slid under him. Now, who do you think was more excited Hayden or Momma? Hmmm, well let me say this, I got no pictures of the slide or the running, and other Moms out there were worried I was going to drop my camera because I was jumping so much.
I picked Hayden up as he walked to the dugout to give him a big hug. What did he say? Mom put me down. Was it because he was embarrassed? Nope. His next words were "I have to go see Poppaw". He went straight to him, gave him a hug and said "Poppaw that one was for you!" Guess we all know where I rank..... Would not have it any other way.
